As a solo developer, I’ve always had one major weakness: design.

I can build solid backends, create efficient APIs, and handle complex database architectures. But when it comes to making things look good? That’s where I’ve always struggled.

For years, I’ve been the developer who creates functional but ugly interfaces. The kind that works perfectly but looks like it was designed in 2005. Clients would love the functionality but always ask about “improving the visual design.”

Last week, I decided to test Paraflow for seven days. I had no expectations I’ve tried other design tools before and always hit the same wall. But something was different this time.

The problem every solo developer faces

When you’re working alone, you wear every hat: project manager, backend architect, database designer, and somehow, you’re also supposed to be the UI designer.

That last part always tripped me up.
